Fence damaged by a fallen hydro pole
This is a local scene in Winchester township, at the Cloverdale Golf Club off of Regional Road 31. During that destructive ice storm of January 1998,
a hydro pole near the steel-fenced entrance snapped and
gave the fence a thorough whacking. All that remains of the pole is a pile of sawdust.
I thought the dip and twist in the gate was rather attractive. The fence was replaced before the course opened for the season.
