White-breasted Nuthatches
The nuthatch is one of those showy, clown-like natural oddities, able to climb
vertically inverted or upright. If you have ever watched them, you wish that such antics in the search for bark creatures are well rewarded.
Think of them as feathered squirrels: if you have ever watched squirrels chase
each other inverted, up and down a tree, you get the idea. The nuthatches are, yes,
slower and tinier players in this physical comedy, but they appear to use the same team of Nature script-writers.
